Apaixonei-me pelas peças da Paula Valentim no momento em que as vi pela primeira vez. O branco da porcelana, a sua delicadeza, a inspiração na natureza. E desde esse primeiro momento que as ando a namorar.

E durante este namoro de meses, afeiçoei-me também às imagens que a Paula vai partilhando no blog: pedacinhos dos seus dias, pormenores do seu processo de trabalho, os seus passeios na zona bonita onde vive. E, claro, quando percebi que também ela é colectora de seixos, ramos e outros elementos da natureza (e que tão bem lhe servem de inspiração) decidi que só pode ser uma óptima pessoa...

Quando anunciou que as suas andorinhas - a primeira peça a ser feita para a Otchipotchi - iriam ser descontinuadas, eu percebi que era o momento. Estas bonitas peças - uma interpretação das tradicionais andorinhas que se viam nas casas portuguesas - estavam na minha lista de desejos. E olhem que a minha lista não é grande, que eu sou uma rapariga conscienciosa e escolho com todo o cuidado os meus caprichos materiais...

E cá estão elas, acabadinhas de chegar, tão bonitas e elegantes como eu imaginava. E é tão bom ter nas mãos o fruto do talento e amor de alguém!

I fell in love with Paula Valentim's pieces when I saw them for the first time. White porcelain, its delicacy, the inspiration in nature. And since that first time I have an eye on them.

And during the last months, I also fell in love with the pictures that Paula shared on her blog: moments of her life, details of her work process, her tours in the beautiful region where she lives. And, of course, when I realized that she is also a fan of pebbles, twigs and other nature elements (and what a great inspiration they're to her) I decided that she could only be a great person...

When she announced that her swallows - the first piece to be made for Otchipotchi - would be discontinued, I realized it was the time. These beautiful pieces - an interpretation of the traditional clay swallows that were common in Portuguese houses - were on my wish list. Notice that my list is not big, cause I'm a conscientious girl who chooses carefully her materials whims...

And here they are, freshly arrived, as beautiful and elegant as I imagined. And it's so nice to have in my hands the fruit of talent and love of someone!
