a natureza nossa vizinha :: our neighbour's nature

É isto que queremos para ela. Não só ao fim-de-semana, ou de vez em quando, mas todos os dias. Natureza. Terra para se sujar, água para chapinhar. Com o sol a aquecer-lhe a pele e os pássaros a compor a banda sonora. Muitos bichinhos a despertar-lhe a curiosidade e a tornarem-se presença habitual nos seus dias. Que cresça a tratar por tu as árvores e os animais. Feliz, claro, feliz!

E apesar de ainda estarmos na vila - e não no nosso pedacinho de terra -, há vacas a pastar no final da nossa rua, o monte estende-se para lá dos quintais, todas as ruas vão dar ao campo e estamos a cinco minutos de um dos locais mais bonitos das redondezas (se bem que a lista dos belos lugares da região não pára de crescer...).

This is what we want for her. Not only at the weekend, or once in a while, but every day. Nature. Soil to get dirty, water to splash. With the sun warming her skin and the birds composing the soundtrack. Bugs arousing her curiosity and becoming habitual presence in her days. May she grow calling the trees and the animals by their names. Happy, of course, happy!

And although we are still in the village - and not in our little piece of land - there are cows grazing at the end of our street, the hill stretches beyond the backyards, all the streets will hit the field and we are five minutes away from one of the most beautiful places in the area (although the list of beautiful places in the region doesn't stop growing...).
